Khanyisa Mothema is a BCom Finance graduate with over 15 years’ experience as a professional in the consulting and business development areas in Deloittes Africa and Absa Bank and within The Echelon Group (PTY) Ltd, a multinational and multi-disciplinary consultancy she founded in 2012.
As from 2013 Khanyisa provides Project Management, Strategy Planning and Development, Business Development, Market Intelligence, Advisory Services, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, Due Diligence and Transformation services through Echelon Group (PTY) LTD where she is a Director. Some of her projects include the Optimisation of the Services Export Strategy on behalf of the City of Johannesburg and Monitoring and Evaluation of Capacity Building Programs on behalf of the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and the French Development Agency (AFD). Khanyisa has engaged various government departments in Zimbabwe on meeting their development funding goals.
Khanyisa is a board member of Somlolo Group Investment Holdings (PTY) LTD based in South Africa and Hong Kong with investments in Galvanised and Stainless-Steel projects, Construction, Alternative Energy, Commodity Trading and Telecommunication interests in South Africa and in the African Continent.
In 2017, Khanyisa Teffo joined Lematron (PTY) LTD as its Executive Director and Shareholder coming from a consulting background having worked for international consultancy firm Deloittes for 5 years, 2 years within the banking environment and the last 5 years consulting in Pan Africa.
She was also Chairperson of the Faith Based Child Protection Movement NPC from 2019 to 2020. Furthermore, Khanyisa is the Chairperson of Bala Books (PTY) LTD, a Child author publishing organization which has key partnerships with government institutions, private sector organizations and community partner schools to deliver literacy and book writing programmes to school going Children through digital and traditional mediums. Well versed, her career over the years has drafted towards social entrepreneurship in the area of Child protection.
Khanyisa is a social entrepreneur and philanthropist, with a passion for knowledge sharing and skills development.
Khanyisa Mothema holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Management from Bond University (Australia) and other short courses in research, change management, monitoring and evaluation, Business Process design and re-engineering and project management. She has more than 10 years’ experience in project management, programme development, review, evaluation, and financing. She is a certified director with Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA).
Khanyisa is an MBA Candidate with University of Oxford. Her professional experience started at Deloittes as a consultant in the Enterprise Resource Planning consulting division later in the Human Capital and Change Enablement divisions. Khanyisa was Project Manager at Absa Barclays from 2007 to 2008, responsible for change initiatives across all Retail Bank Divisions namely Private Bank, Home loans, Vehicle Finance, Credit Cards and Small Business. Part of her duties included overseeing the implementation of revised scorecards and the compliance of the Retail Bank Business Processes to Basel II Credit Risk Rating standards.
Khanyisa then founded Masimu Investments (PTY) LTD between 2008- 2011, a supply chain and logistics planning and management company that had transportation contracts with Eskom and mining companies. She later sold the company to focus on her career in consulting.
Khanyisa is a social entrepreneur and philanthropist, with a passion for knowledge sharing and skills development.
